watch: “borrowed time” – parquet courts

parquet courts borrow timeI started listening to Parquet Courts a little too late in the game last year to get them onto my Best of 2012 lists, and a few weeks in, I’m already regretting it.  Luckily, I (and you) are getting a chance at redemption, because the band has just reissued 2012′s Light Up Gold on What’s Your Rupture this week.

They’ve also got a new video for their lead single, “Borrowed Time,” which was filmed at their show at Death By Audio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  Trigger Warning: If you get ‘show envy’ you shouldn’t watch this video, because it’s going to make you really bummed out you were there:

Watch for: some solid hair twirling at 0:40.

If you want more Parquet Courts while you’re waiting for your vinyl to arrive, check out album track “Stoned and Starving”:

  1. that record is so much fun. i was discussing with my friend earlier this week it’s got this sort of early pavement feel with a little Ramones mixed in there.

    • yeah I’m feeling that. I’m glad it’s getting a reissue – hopefully it’ll continue to get a wider audience.

What do you think?
