listen: “only in my dreams” – ariel pink’s haunted graffiti

From the sound of it, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffitti‘s upcoming album Mature Themes is going to take us all on a trip back to the 1970s. The first single we got to hear was “Baby,” a cover of Donnie and Joe Emerson’s 1979 iconic song. The follow-up single, “Only In My Dreams,” is an original, but it wouldn’t sound out of place on a classic rock station.

Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffitti on 70dayweekend:

Based on the first two tracks from this new Ariel Pink record, I think I might like this record even more than the last one, and I really, really loved the last record. I really appreciate how much they rework that 60s and 70s surf rock sound in what they do.
i’m cautiously optimistic, because Ariel Pink seems so… unstable?
